Spring is finally here in Southern Ontario, and I was excited to kick off the season at Barton Trail in Uxbridge with one of my favourite families! I was afraid we would get rained out, but instead, the gloomy weather made for the most perfect overcast lighting. You’re going to love this family session with a sweet family of four!

I had so much fun doing this winter proposal photoshoot at Countryside Preserve in Uxbridge! What started off disguised as a regular couples photoshoot on Valentine's Day, became a surprise proposal and engagement photos! The snowy forest "behind Walmart" made a beautiful backdrop for these winter couples photos in Durham Region.

I’m so thankful I had a family decide to brave the cold for a snowy family photo session at Elgin Pond in Uxbridge, Ontario! I I love the clean white look of winter photos. It was a very cold day for family photos, but that didn’t stop us from capturing genuine smiles and sweet moments.

I loved doing this cozy in-home family session for a new family of four! We got some cozy shots in mom & dads room and gathered on the front porch as well. The dogs even joined for the last few shots!

Maybe photos aren't the first thing on your mind right after having a baby. And that's okay! With a lifestyle newborn session, there is no rush to complete the session in the first couple weeks of life. This little man was almost one month old for his maternity photos. It is a privilege to witness a family adjusting to a brand new baby. I love photographing the older siblings with their new brother and getting a few of just mom & dad.

In 2025, is it possible to build a business without social media?

I think so! To test my theory, I've decided to experiment. I'm going to spend one year seeking out photography clients in other ways. I will try talking to friends and family and looking to grow a business by word of mouth. I've printed out flyers, and I'm using this blog to try to build up SEO credibility on Google. I hope that when people are searching for something like Uxbridge family photographer or Durham region lifestyle newborn, they will come across my website! 

I had so much fun doing a spring extended family session at the Uxbridge Historical Centre! Extended family photos always seem to have a more relaxed feel with plenty of time for kids to relax and play with cousins between photos. If you've been nervous to get family photos done, an extended family session can take the pressure off and make it a fun memory for the whole family!

This sweet family is getting ready to welcome a new member! They decided on Uxbridge Historical Centre (known to locals as “the museum”) as the place to document their growing family with a lifestyle maternity session. I loved this impromptu golden hour maternity session with a dear friend of mine! I'm a big fan of lifestyle maternity and the way we get to bring the whole family into the process.
