Snowy Family Photos at Elgin Pond
I finally got to take advantage of the beautiful snow in southern Ontario and capture some winter family photos! We chose a cold day to meet up, But the frigid temperatures helped us stay focused to capture family photos quickly and efficiently.
It's easy to get excited about taking family photos in the warmer months, but these cold-weather memories are so special too! As Canadians, we spend many months of our year battling the snow, so we might as well document it along the way.

Dress warmly - wear lots of layers and accessories like hats and scarves. You may even want to bring along a blanket to snuggle under.
Keep it short - 15-20 minutes is enough time to get a variety of cozy family photos
Keep moving - it's easy to feel frozen in one place when its cold, but natural movement always creates better photos. Keep walking, playing and snuggling with your family!
