Spring Family Photos at Elgin Park in Uxbridge

I often ask myself “what am I doing pursuing family photography?” Because some days trying to get photos of fast-moving toddlers feels more like an Olympic sport than an art form.

But instead of trying to pin kids down and bribe them to plaster on fake smiles, I want to let them lead the session. I want to find ways to let them play and snuggle with Mom and Dad and get sweet candids just letting kids be kids!

This sibling duo started off shy, but quickly warmed up and stole the show! Some of the sweetest moments can't be manufactured with clever posing prompts.

Today’s photoshoot took place in a well-known spot to Uxbridge residents, Elgin Park! The park offers a variety of forest and grass and even a playground for the kids to enjoy once the session is done. Elgin Park is a great option for family photos, especially if it is a familiar place to your kids. We can explore the park together, and there are conveniently located bathrooms for potty-training toddlers.

We almost had to cancel due to rain, but instead we were blessed with soft, moody lighting for this family photoshoot!
